Has a major retrospective at the Staatsgemäldesammlungen Galerie Moderner Kunst, in Munich, travelling on to the Schloss Morsbroich Museum at Leverkusen, and the Kunsthalle in Darmstadt, curated by Carla Schulz-Hoffmann: exhibits new installations of the Plurimi and, among other works, his recent Tondo ‘85 – 2.
At the XLIIth Venice Biennale Biennale exhibits two Dischi, from the Non dove – II cycle (1986), in the “Arte e scienza: spazio” section, curated by M. Calvesi.
A one-man show, “Vedova Malerei”, featuring the Oltre series of ‘teleri’ from the current decade, and a new hanging of the Non a caso ‘Dischi’ (1985).
Also exhibits at the 11th Quadriennale d’Arte Nazionale in Rome and at the “X Exposition internationale de dessins originaux” at Rijeka.
Aurora Garcia and Massimo Cacciari curate another solo show at the Secession Building in Vienna.
