"Intolleranza '60", Venezia, Teatro la Fenice, 1961

Emilio Vedova prepares sketches, drawings, set designs and costumes for Luigi Nono’s opera Intolleranza ’60, commissioned for the Venice Biennale and first performed at La Fenice in April 1961under the baton of Bruno Maderna.
Inaugurates a personal retrospective at the Ateneo Científico, Literario y Artistíco de Madrid which will travel on to Barcelona; the exhibit would be expanded through a selection of three hundred and sixty drawings ranging the period from 1935 to 1950, chosen by Carlo Scarpa and Licisco Magagnato.
Exhibits at the VIth Tokyo Biennale. During the winter travels to Scandinavia for further shows.
